Wordless Books and TJEd

July 2, 2012 – My wife’s father just pointed me to this article. I found the concept and the reported findings interesting. I haven’t had the chance to look for published research yet, but the article is fairly descriptive:

Reading books without words provides added benefits for kids.

I have recently completed a paper that explores the theoretical foundations of the Thomas Jefferson Education approach authored by Oliver and Rachel DeMille (and others). I would be really curious to see a comparison between the affect of this educational approach (in each of its phases of development) on literacy as compared to similar groups in a conveyor belt educational setting.
